RYUGAMI龍神

The dragon god of the sea, awakened on Robinhood Chain. 2,222 guardians risen from the deep, each carrying a fragment of a thousand-year sleep.

For a thousand years they slept beneath the water.

Fishermen in the old provinces told it plainly: when the sea went still and the sky turned the colour of wet slate, the dragon gods were breathing. They had gone under after the last war of the tides, coiling into the trenches where light does not reach, and the coast learned to live quietly above them.

Shrines were raised at every river mouth. Rope was strung, salt was scattered, and each spring a single lacquered bowl of rice was set out on the black rocks. Not worship, exactly. An arrangement. The offerings kept the water level and the harvests honest, and in return nobody asked what moved beneath the boats.

The arrangement has ended. The trenches are open, the rope has rotted through, and eight thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight guardians are rising into a ledger that does not forget. RYUGAMI is the record of that ascent — one god at a time, scale by scale.

“What sleeps in salt water does not die. It waits for a ledger worth waking for.”

Every guardian is hand-composed from a fixed set of woodblock plates, then aged. No two share the same water.
